Parks and recreation

I’ve so enjoyed getting to know the sweet city-town of Kardzhali. I see so much more now that we have a babe. There are wonderful parks here with swings and trains and shady woodland paths.

Today we met some friends and their beautiful kiddos. We blew bubbles and strolled and drank coffee. How lovely.

And the distant mountain views and rose gardens punctuate the peace.

There is a sweet train for kids that circles the park. We missed the morning run but will go back tomorrow to ride the railroad.

I have a new friend: my godson, Georgi (also know as Goshko, Goshie). He has been cautious around me as a strange, foreign language speaker. But today, the ice broke and he held my hand as we strolled. Language was not much of a barrier. We “bow” bow” ed at dogs and picked leavea and ran and stoped and looked. He is so smart and wonderful. I can’t wait for Stefan to be his friend.

Stefan spent most of our visit snoozing.

No problem. Back to home base we went for Baba Dora snuggles.

Stuffed peppers for lunch with a yogurt sauce. And watermelon for dessert.

Heaven.
